Back to 1992, Tooheys 1000 was held in the famous Australia racing circuit – Mount Panorma Circuit. The touring car regulations had been divided in to three different classes – Class A, Class B and Class C.
In class A, Jim Richards and Mark Skaife joined the race with using the Nissan Skyline GT-R which was prepared by Gibson Motor Sport. After many accidents had been caused under heavy rainstorm condition and red flag, they won the the race for the second year in a row with total 143 laps which is 18 laps short of full race distance as compared with the 1991 race.
